Crossing the Finish Line: Summer Endurance Challenge

End: Saturday, August 28
Summer is all about being outside and getting as much fresh air and sunshine while it lasts. For many, Summer is also a time to get out walking, running, biking, roller blading etc. Also known as endurance activities.
The Challenge: You set your own kilometer goal, with your own endurance activity (or activities) to complete your goal. There is no strict rules around your goal, and how you get there. It’s completely up to you, and what you can handle. We do ask that it be a bit of a stretch, the goal is to challenge you to become better/fitter this summer.
- To do a combination of walk/run and bike a total the width of Saskatchewan (632km) between July 5 and Aug 28.
- To walk 150 kilometers over those 8 weeks
- Or maybe you want to improve your pace and run 10km in under an hour or 5km in under 30 minutes or heck, being able to run/walk 5-10km without dying is a victory. You pick!
Don’t have an endurance activity that you want to do, but still want to participate? You can also convert any fitness activity you do into kilometers. 10 minutes of activity = 1 kilometer of distance. This could be a workout, yoga, yard work etc.
Crossing the Finish line: On August 28th we will be holding a small 5km run/walk/bike at the LMF studio to celebrate your achievement and reward you with your prizes.
